SO Sofitel Bangkok turns the city on with the most anticipated 8-day long culinary event gathering 8 Michelin-starred chefs to cook a storm at its dynamic dining spaces.
 
Get ready for big, bold flavors. Classic yet creative recipes. Endlessly delicious experiences. From 15th September till 22nd September 2019, SO Sofitel Bangkok brings together the SO AMAZING CHEFS 2019 a brand-new league of renowned chefs and culinary maestros representing the 8th Edition, this year with 8 Michelin-starred chefs plus 8 key activities. Epicures of the city are not only invited to indulge in a gastronomic adventure at SO Sofitel Bangkok’s dining hubs but also witness an intense two-day chef Culinary Showdown.
 
Leading this year event with our Head Culinary Designer, Chef Thomas Smith, together with chef de cuisine Nicolas Basset from Belga Rooftop Bar & Brasserie will also play supporting roles in SO Amazing Chefs 2019 which is taking place from 15 – 22 September 2019 at SO Sofitel Bangkok.

Michelin chefs joining this year are Nick Kim (3-Michelin starred from New York, USA), Paul Liebrandt (2-Michelin starred from New York, USA), Bastian Falkenroth (1-Michelin starred from Düsseldorf, Germany), María José San Román (1-Michelin starred from Alicante, Spain), Rob van der Veeken (1-Michelin starred from Eindhoven, Netherlands), Simon Scott (1-Michelin starred from Castres, France), Takatomo Izumi (1-Michelin starred from Kyoto, Japan) and Thierry Drapeau (2-Michelin starred from Saint-Sulpice-Le-Verdon, France)
 
Gastronomy professionals joining the SO Amazing Chefs roster this year include Thananya Kaikaew, the only female chef from the Iron Chef Thailand TV show. Jacques Cocollos, owner of a French oyster farm and renowned exporter of top quality oysters. Nicolas Elalouf, owner of Man Mo, the world’s first contemporary dim sum restaurant. Patrice & Phillipe Marchand, co-owners of one of the oldest family-run dairy producers.
